Physical therapy with local cold — for pain, swelling and inflammation.

Cryotherapy is a physical treatment method in which local cold is applied to reduce pain, swelling and inflammatory reactions. Depending on application duration, it can have both a calming effect on tissue and influence muscle tone.

Procedure

Treatment is carried out through targeted local cold applications, for example using cold packs, ice treatments or cold air. Type and duration of application are individually adapted to findings and therapy goals.
